Pastor’s Corner – Trust in the Lord

Basically, there are only two ways to do something:  man’s way or God’s way.  Through a study of the Scriptures, we discover that God’s ways are perfect, pure and holy.

Man’s ways, by contrast, are decided through reasoning and personal desires.  We know what we want and are willing to compromise our standards to achieve it.  Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that seems right to a man.”

2 Samuel 22:31 declares that all God’s ways are perfect.  There is no place for options.  Everything that He does or says is always right.  He gave us the Bible so that we could learn His ways and how to walk in them.

Isaiah 53:6 tells us, “We have gone astray and turned to our own way.”  Isaiah 55:6 & 7 speak clearly – “Seek the Lord and call on Him.  Forsake your wrong ways and evil thoughts.  Turn to the Lord and receive His mercy, grace and a free pardon for sin.”

God declares in Isaiah 55:8, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are My ways your ways.  (11)  I will accomplish My desire and achieve My purposes.”

God’s plans are much better than ours will ever be.  Trust in Him and follow the life path He is directing you on.  Let His ways and thoughts become yours also!
