Pastor’s Corner: Trust and Hope in the Lord

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In Psalm 20:7 we read these wise words: “Some trust in chariots and some trust in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” In 18:32 we find – “It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.”

Yes, our hope is in the Lord, but it is our trust in Him that puts action to it. If the trust is not there, or is broken, it will be quite hard to win our battles. By ourselves, we are nothing; with God by our side, we are everything.

Chariots and horses – are the materialistic things in our life. We hold on to them because they have been good to us in the past; they brought pleasure and contentment. Yet, they do not provide the strength necessary to walk the path Jesus is on.

Make the choice to trust in Jesus. He will honor that trust and provide the guidance you need, the direction and protection that you can use to live a victorious life!
