People are always seeking the key to happiness, the secret to living well.  Let’s look at Proverbs 16:20-22.  “Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.  The wise in heart are called discerning, and pleasant words promote instruction.  Understanding is a fountain of life to those who have it.”

Longevity, prosperity and discernment; these are things we desire in our lives, yet seldom attain.  It all begins by trusting in the Lord.  Scripture tells us that when we do this, He will guide our footsteps.  The result is that we receive His blessings upon our lives.

Harshly spoken words promote rebellion and chaos, while pleasant words allow us to receive instruction; which brings us into prosperity.  Instruction increases wisdom, which results in understanding.

It all ties together.  The Scriptures tell us that as we let God into our lives, we will gain a peace so incredible, that few can understand it.  That peace becomes a calmness amid the storms and chaos of life.

The secret to a life well lived is found in the Bible.  Read and study it.  Let the light and wisdom of God flow through you, surrounding others with God’s un-ending love.
