In 1 Corinthians 10:31 & 32 we read these words: “So whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble.”
During Paul’s time, people would argue over what things were correct to eat or drink. We still do that today when we discuss proper nutrition and diets. Some things do not change.
“Whatever” you do – whether in thoughts, attitudes, words or actions – do it all in a way that gives glory to God and honors Him. Be kind and loving and considerate in all that you do or say, so that you will not cause anyone to stumble in living their life.
Many Scriptures tell us to always honor God in all we do. 1 Corinthians 3:8 says that God rewards each of us for our labor. Psalm 18:24 tells us that God rewards us for living holy and pure lives.
If “whatever” causes the Lord to be blessed, then He will in turn bless us. In 1 Thessalonians 4, Paul tells us to live in such a way that our lives please God. By doing so, you will not only honor Him, but he will also honor and bless you.
