Pastor’s Corner: Learning to be Spiritual

If we can understand that God is the very essence of spirituality, then it is possible for us to learn how to be spiritual.

In Mark 4:2-34, Jesus talks about and discusses parables.  We must learn to understand the parables.  Jesus said to us:  “consider carefully what you hear, “ and also, “if you have ears to hear, you must listen.”

Parables are stories of normal, everyday events and activities that can be matched to a spiritual truth or principle.  As we listen and study the Word of God, our inner spirit is activated to understand how to experience holiness and righteousness.

Our personal spirit begins to align with God’s Holy Spirit, bringing heaven-sent knowledge into our heart.  We perceive, know and grasp the wonders God desires for us to experience.

We fall deeper in love with Jesus.  We walk closer with Him and talk with Him more often.  We begin to see things as God sees them.  Life changes and becomes good!
