Pastor’s Corner: How to Live Victorious Lives

The Holy Scriptures always speak to us in ways that we can understand.  In Job 28, we find these interesting words.

“There is a mine for silver, and a place where gold is refined.  Iron is taken from the earth and copper is smelted from ore.  Man searches the farthest recesses for ore in the blackest darkness.  He cuts a shaft and dangles and sways in it.  Sapphires come from its rocks and its dust contains gold nuggets.  Man tunnels through the rock and his eyes see all the treasures.  But where can wisdom be found?  Where does understanding live?  It cannot be bought with gold nor can its price be weighed in silver.”

In verse 28, we read, “The fear of the LORD – that is wisdom, to shun evil is understanding.

These things come through worshipping and loving our Lord God.  In His grace and mercy, He blesses us with His eternal wisdom and divine understanding, so that we can live victorious lives.
