In Romans 6:14 we read: “sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.” Romans 11:6 says, “and if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.”
It is not only in our works or actions that we are able to sin against God. It also happens in our thoughts and attitudes. Having bad thoughts or anger can be our loss in the battle of good against evil.
In his letters to the churches Paul listed: hatred, discord, jealousy, rage, selfish ambitions, envy, unwholesome talk, slander, lies, complaining or arguing. These things are improper for God’s holy people!
Imitate Jesus and live a life of love. Live wisely, understanding what God’s will is and obeying it. Live in such harmony and peace with others, that they will also want it and will glorify the God of Heaven. Yes – God is good!
