Pastor’s Corner: Give God a Chance to Change Your Life

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In 1 John 2:15 we read, “If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”  Over in verse 17, “The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of

God lives forever.”

The difference here is between the secular and the spiritual.  Biblically, the secular relates to the things in the natural, of the world or the flesh.

By spiritual, God directs our attention to the blessings that come from Him, through the Holy Spirit.  Those who honestly love the Lord God, will experience eternity in heaven.

The things we physically see and deal with will not last.  If you do not personally know God, you will not grasp how much He truly loves you.  When life passes away, the blessings are also gone.  So dedicate your life to God today.  Ask Him to take control over the things you have lost control over.  Give Him a chance to change your life for the better.
