Pastor’s Corner: Celebrating the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ

In John 19:28-30 we read these words:  “Knowing that all was now completed and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, ‘I am thirsty’ and ‘It is finished.’ “

Jesus had two primary assignments for His short time on earth.  One was to train a group of disciples to take His message around the world.  The second was to finalize the plan of redemption for mankind.

Jesus, who had never sinned, suffered and died for every sin ever committed.  By believing in Him and accepting His painful sacrifice on the cross, our sins are removed and we are set free.

Easter is a time of celebration as we thank Him for His saving grace.  He conquered death, hell and the grave.  He lives, and because He does, we too can live for eternity with our Lord and Savior in Heaven.

Happy Easter!
