Oracle Church of Christ

Written by 40 authors over a period of about 1,500 years, the Bible presents itself as the Word of God. Stories and information contained in it have been validated by contemporary historians and scientists and archaeologists working up to the present.

The second letter from Paul to Timothy says “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

The central Bible theme is God’s plan of salvation – his way of providing deliverance from sin and spiritual death through repentance and faith. In the Old Testament, salvation springs from Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, in the book of Exodus. The New Testament presents the source of salvation – prophesied in the Old Testament – Jesus Christ.

God reveals himself in the Bible. We discover his nature and character, love, justice, forgiveness and truth. The Bible, the only ancient text with existing manuscripts numbering in the thousands, contains instructions as to how those who believe in God should live their lives and worship him.

For Bible-centered study and worship, please join as at 10 a.m. each Sunday at the Oracle Church of Christ, 2425 El Paseo.
