Pastor’s Corner – Asking Jesus to set you free

In Romans 14:11 & 12 we read:  “ ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.’  So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.”

Our actions and our words are not without consequences.  Everything we say and do has an effect on someone else.  Some things are harmful, while others are beneficial.

One thing about God – He is present everywhere, all the time.  Therefore, He hears and sees all that happens.  There is nothing that we can hide from Him.

One day, everything we have ever done or said, will be laid out before Him and we will have to give an account of all we have said or done – good or bad – to the Lord.  It will not be an option, it will happen.

The question is, are we ready and willing to do that?  If there is sin in our lives, we will be judged accordingly.  How do we skip that part?  By confessing all that we have done wrong to Jesus Christ, and asking to be forgiven.  Our sins will be wiped out and the record of them happening is removed forever.

Since we all sin, have you asked Jesus to set you free from sin today?  Now is a very good time to do that.  And, don’t forget to thank Him.  Like each of us, He loves to be thanked for giving us a blessing!  Have a blessed day!
