The Superior boys’ basketball team has 12 players on the varsity roster with only two upperclassmen – junior Ricky Longoria and senior Tyler George. Freshmen and sophomores fill out the roster.

Despite being winless so far in the early season, the Panthers’ basketball team is talented, if not experienced. Longoria leads the team in scoring with 11 ppg. Freshman Austin Navarrette is second on the team, scoring just over 9 ppg. Freshman Nicolaus Cruz is the team’s top rebounder with 8 rpg. As a team, the Panthers average nine steals and seven blocks per game.

The Panthers will play four games in eight days beginning at San Manuel on December 10, 2013. Their next three games will all be at home; Ray (Dec. 11), Combs (Dec. 12), and Hayden (Dec. 17). The game versus Combs is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. All other games tipoff at 7:00 p.m.
