After several years of fundraising and planning, the Oracle School District’s Parent Teacher Organization got its concession stand building with restrooms project off the ground.

On a recent Sat. morning a few members of the committee managing this community-based project met on the site and completed digging the footers for the 800 square foot building.

The next phase will involve rough in plumbing and electrical as well as pouring the concrete flooring. The concession stand is centrally located in the ball field area on the Mountain Vista Campus and is accessible from all fields.

The project should be completed by the end of this current school year.

While this project was dreamt up and started by two generations of PTO officers, it absolutely could not be accomplished without the g builders who are volunteering their services.

Soule Homes drew the plans and assisted in procuring the permits and will be involved in all phases of the project.

Other key builders and contributors include Kevin Brandt (Oracle Electric), Kenny Huff (Huff Plumbing), Dan Rodriguez (D and B Concrete), Darrell Klesch (Oracle Stoneworks) and several other local builders, artisans and volunteers.

The PTO is looking for donations of clean 8x8x16 block, 1/2, 3/8 and 5/8 inch rebar. For more information, contact Ron Small at 520-820-4703 or Principal Dennis Blauser at 896-3003.
