Guess what, kids? Your parents are super-excited that you are heading back to school!

But before you can board that bus and set off the most joyous jig your moms and dads will ever dance, there is some information that they need.

Yes. Back to School Information for Mountain Vista School students!

The Oracle School District #2 will be holding a school registration on July 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and later the same day there will be a special evening session from 5-7 p.m. Don’t forget to come and meet the teachers and staff and enjoy Eegees and sandwiches on Monday, Aug. 3, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The Oracle School District has a D.E.S. sanctioned early childhood center that features a state of the art preschool. Preschool is open four days per week featuring both an afternoon and a morning session and is closed on Wednesdays. Pre-school is $10 per day with some tuition scholarships available.

Mountain Vista School in the Oracle School District has enrollment space in grades Pre-K through 8. Mountain Vista includes a one of a kind 5/8 super accelerated combination class. This program in conjunction with awesome technology and several new text book series prepares students for the Mountain Vista “pre-advanced placement” curriculum in which students can earn up to two high school credits in Algebra I and Geometry. Students that complete this program easily transition into high school advanced placement programs which allow them to earn college/university credits.

In addition to an outstanding academic program the Oracle School District offers a full range of athletics which include tackle football, wrestling, boys and girls basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball and even track.

The Oracle School also offers a wide array of enrichment opportunities such as music, a talent show, sewing and horsemanship. The Oracle School District has put maximum effort into its schools to earn your respect and the privilege of educating your children. Of course we always welcome “drop in” registrations. If you have further questions please do not hesitate to contact Superintendent of Schools Dennis Blauser at 896-3074 (dblauser@osd2.org) or Principal, Nannette Soule at 896-3003 (nsoule@osd2.org).

And kids, if you catch your parents doing their happy dance, be sure to snap a picture. Send them to us at editor@minersunbasin.com. We’d love to post them on our Facebook page. www.facebook.com/copperarea.
