Superior – To the community of Superior, young and old, I am writing this letter on behalf of Santa Claus and myself, Mrs Claus. We made our yearly Dec. 24 stop in your small town. As always, our hearts were filled with joy and laughter, as our eyes beheld the town of Superior.

Your town is small, but, it is one of our favorite stops and we are filled with delight to be able to share our Christmas cheer with all of you. The children, including the inner child within the hearts of you older ones, are such a wonderful sight to see.

Santa’s elves remained busy at the North Pole, working to finish up all of the toys for Santa to deliver, and couldn’t travel with us to Superior, so we asked others to help while we were in town.

Santa gets joy from seeing all of you who turn out to make this night special for so many. With a twinkle in his eye and a “Ho, ho, ho!”, he gratefully accepted the help of our volunteer elves.

You gave us the gift of so much happiness in our hearts, as volunteers, including members of the fire department, police department and town council, students from the local school and college, a Navy soldier and a softball player from Ohio gathered together to spend their time wrapping and delivering presents.

Without all of you we could not have gotten so much accomplished, or brought so many smiles to all the happy faces, young and old. None of you go unnoticed and all of you are appreciated. You have big hearts in your small town. Thank you all for letting Santa and me share this and be a part of your Christmas Eve.

During the year, Santa works hard to prepare for the deliveries next year, Santa and I will be taking a short vacation before we start with 2013. We try to visit a warm climate place. So, remember, Santa is watching as you’re sleeping, while you’re awake. So, you better be good! Lots of love to all.
