The Superior High School mathematics students now have the benefit of newer technology in their classes. OMYA Superior donated 25 color graphing calculators valued at $150 each to the SHS mathematics department on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. These calculators offer the latest capability for study in advanced mathematics and the sciences. Our students benefitted immediately, as they were able to apply them in class that day. It is because local community members and businesses support the efforts of the teachers that our students are successful.

OMYA is the leading global producer of industrial minerals, mainly fillers and pigments, derived from calcium carbonate and dolomite, and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals. OMYA‘s major markets are sealants, adhesives and construction. As well as life sciences, food, feed, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, environment and agriculture.

Founded in 1884 in Switzerland, OMYA now has a global presence extending to more than 100 locations in over 50 countries and 7,000 employees. OMYA has been in Superior, Ariz. since 2000.

Superior School District has many business partnerships in addition to OMYA. These partnerships are designed to support our mission of providing the best possible education for each of our students. Others interested in our schools and programs are encouraged to visit the district. These changes in technology use in Superior have generated much excitement and focus on additional ways we can improve teaching and learning.

You are encouraged to please visit Superior schools and discuss our successes and programs. Superior School District is located at 1500 Sunset Drive, Superior, Ariz. The office phone number is 520-689-3000.
