The League of Arizona Cities and Towns recognized Olga Lopez for serving on the Superior Town Council for 16 years during its annual conference last week in Tucson.  Councilmember Lopez began her political career in 2003.  She has served in the capacity of Councilmember and Vice Mayor during her tenure on the Council.

She has always been an active member of the community supporting organizations such as Little League, Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Social Club de Damas and she was a founding member of the Superior Optimist Club.   Most often you will find Councilwoman Lopez at school and athletic events supporting her children and grandchildren in their activities.  Currently, she is representing Superior on the Copper Corridor Census 2020 Complete Count Committee.

“Councilmember Lopez is a shining example of leadership in our community and we are grateful for her service.  She is always willing to support community activities and takes the lead on many important initiatives, it is an honor to serve with her,” said Mayor Mila Besich.
