Oktoberfest Car Show and Alden Street Fair, Oct. 5-6

Oktoberfest is now in the planning stages and businesses are being encouraged to do a little planning of their own, deciding what they would like to do for the celebration which features the crafts, foods and other wares of local businesses.

Bill Loehr is the Oktoberfest chairperson, John Leep and Troy Ramirez are the Car Show Chairpersons, and Rosalind Padilla is the Oktoberfest Vendor Chairperson.

For businesses off of Alden Street, space can be set aside by contacting Angela and reserving the space before the vendor applications start coming in.

The Street Fair will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5 in the area between the crosswalk at Bank of the West and the crosswalk at Ace, on Alden.

The Car Show will take place in the parking lot between Cosmic Coffee and the ARC, and on Alden from the Ace crosswalk to the ARC on Oct. 6.

The planning committee welcomes ideas, in the meantime, and are seeking volunteers to help with additional activities that are being planned. To volunteer, stop by the Chamber office and inquire of Angela what help is needed.

Angela Ramirez can also be contacted at Box 206, Kearny, AZ 85137 or by email at anglea@copperbasinaz.com.
