Michael Salazar, Daniel McConnell, DeAndrian Bogenschutz and Alycia Bearup are the November Rotarians.

After finishing some old business and voting on issues such as holding a Holiday Party including a dinner/dance fundraiser on Dec. 13, the Superior Rotarians hosted another luncheon for the Superior Unified School District students of the month at Los Hermanos. After an enjoyable luncheon the students draw for certificates, coupons, etc. from local merchants and each quarter the Rotary will choose from the accumulated students of the month and draw for a Tablet.

For the month of the Superior Jr/Sr High students of the month are: Michael Salazar who is a Junior, his parents are Michael and Mary Salazar, he enjoys playing football and is now going to start boxing and after high school he would like to attend Arizona State University (ASU); DeAndrian Bogenschutz who is in the seventh grade, her mother is Andrea Bogenschutz, she is involved in Student Council, volleyball, basketball and softball and after high school she would like to attend ASU and pursue a nursing degree; Daniel McConnell is in the seventh grade, he participates in basketball and Student Council after high school he is unsure of his plans but is interested in ASU; Alycia Bearup who is a senior, her father is Shane Bearup, she participates in FCCLA and Future Educators Association (FEA), after high school she plans to move back home to Arkansas to attend Southern Arkansas University (SAU) to pursue a nursing degree. The Rotarians are proud of the youth in our community and enjoy meeting with them, learning about them and their future plans. Congratulations to each student of the month, keep up the good work!

The Superior Rotary holds its meetings every Tuesday at noon for a luncheon at Los Hermanos Blue Room. During the meetings the group discusses and interacts on many topics, networking, sharing resources and opportunities to do what they can to help make Superior a better place. Please feel free to stop in and meet the Superior Rotarians.
