Norberto ‘Tito’ Varela

Norberto “Tito” Varela was born in Lordsburg, New Mexico on June 6, 1930 to Norbert and Rejugia Varela.  He was such a wonderful father and Tata to extended family also a great friend to many. He passed away Jan. 4, 2016.

Norberto is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lenora. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Aguilar and Son, Sonny Varela.

He has two brothers, three sisters, many nephews, cousins, two grandchildren, Lisa and Anthony Sr.; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Mario, Sabrina and Anthony Jr.; and a very special niece Vicky. 

He was a miner for most of his life working in Lordsburg, New Mexico, Bisbee and Superior, AZ.  A Memorial mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi in Superior on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at 10 a.m.
