Norberto (Sonny) Varela

  Norberto (Sonny) Varela, 65, passed away Feb. 27, 2017, in Tucson, AZ, from heart failure.

  Sonny graduated from Superior High School in 1970 and worked in the food industry until he retired due to medical reasons.

  He leaves behind in loving memory his one and only sibling, Linda Varela; nephew, Anthony Varela Sr.; niece, Lisa Aguilar; great nephews, J.J., Mario, and Anthony Jr.; and great niece, Sabrina. He also leaves behind his very dear friend Karen Spillane and her son John; his very close cousin Vicky Martinez Hennekes and many more members of his extended family.

  Sonny was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Leonor Varela, and his father, Norberto (Tito) Varela.

  There were no services held.
