New Workdays for LOST

The Town of Superior Legends of Superior Trails (LOST) will be hosting their first trail work days of the season on the Queen Creek Canyon Segment of the LOST this month.

The work days are set for Sat., Nov. 3, 2012,a second work day may be scheduled for Nov. 17.

Volunteers should meet at 7:30 a.m. at the entrance to the canyon segment (Heiner and 177), work will begin promptly at 8 a.m. The work day will end at 12 p.m., volunteers may come throughout that time period as their schedule allows.

The work will consist of trimming back trees to continue the development of natural shade canopies over the trail as well as general trail maintenance. Some tools are available but volunteers may want to bring their own.

Those wishing to participate should plan on wearing long sleeves, pants and sturdy shoes. Pending donations refreshments will be available.
