Nearly 150 compete in annual Oracle Run

The 32nd annual Oracle Run was held on Saturday, Oct. 25. There were 149 runners competing in the 10K run. The overall winner was Brian Folts of Denver, Colo. running in his first Oracle Run. Last year’s winner Brian Hall of Tucson finished second. The overall women’s champion was Tia Accetta of Tucson. Seventy-four year old Sue Smith took first in the women’s 70-99 age division. Sue has run in all 32 Oracle Runs.

Two local runners finished second in their age division, Alicia Peoble of San Manuel and Mike Wilson of Oracle. Local runners who competed include Monique Hauweghen, of San Manuel, Kerbey Wright, Charla Wright, Jane Redmann, John Wasley and David Jaffrey all of Oracle.
