Miss Baez competes in Laughlin, NV

Veronica Baez

Kearny – Veronica Baez, daughter of Paul and Dolores Baez of Kearny, attended her first Cinderella State Finals in Laughlin, NV, from June 9 to 14 with the Gila County delegation.

On Sunday, she participated in the Girl Charm pageant where 34 girls participated in the Tots Division. On Monday she attended the welcome orientation, tot interview and the welcome banquet. Tuesday, she had the tot preliminary, tot coloring fun and attended the Prince Gilbert autograph party and luncheon. On Wednesday was the tot casualwear preliminary, Western Hoe Down luncheon and the Cinderella Ball. Thursday, she attended the Cindy Fair party and participated in the 2013 Arizona Cinderella Grand Finals. The last day on Friday, she attended the Cinderella Awards Breakfast.

She came home with 2013 Cinderella Medallion and received the Well-Behaved trophy for good behavior during competition, rehearsals and the special events in the Tots division.

Her sponsors were Maria’s Restaurant, Rosalia’s Family Restaurant, Dolores’ Gifts & More, USWA Local 915, Rafael & Marlvel Hurtado and Eleazar & Susana Hurtado of ALH Roofing of Globe, Sunny Orcasitas and Gloria Ruiz, Gary Crus & Family, Steve and Gloria Beltran Elsa and Juan Baez and her mom and dad.

By participating in the 2013 Arizona Cinderella State Finals she is eligible to be part of the Arizona delegation at the International Finals in Las Vegas, NV from July 22 to 26.

She is the granddaughter of Steve and Gloria Beltran of Kearny and Elsa and Juan Baez of Dripping Springs.
