Tucson – ASARCO LLC (ASARCO) President and COO Manuel Ramos announced that the Company and Unions, representing employees at five ASARCO operating facilities located in Arizona and Texas, have agreed to continue negotiating an agreement on a labor contract.
The parties have mutually agreed to adjourn their bargaining after Sun., June 30 and to resume negotiations starting on July 9. In addition, both have also agreed to continue the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) in effect after the June 30 expiration date, until either party provides 15 days notice of cancellation.
