Miners represent Copper Corridor at AzBCA All-Star Game

Copper Area News

A total of 11 players and coaches from the Copper Area were selected to participate in the AZ Baseball Coaches Association Div. IV All-Star Game. The San Manuel Miners were represented by three players and an assistant baseball coach.

San Manuel head baseball coach Steve Elmore was joined by catcher T.J. Brown, second baseman John Ruiz and first baseman Demetrious Dietz on the South team.

The game was played on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Surprise Baseball Stadium, the spring training home of the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals. Despite a strong showing by the South team, the North team won, 14 – 5.
