San Manuel Miner

The San Manuel boys’ team won two of its three games last week by holding its opponents to a combined 33 points, an average of 16.5 points allowed per game. The Miners defeated Hayden on December 4, 2013, 57 – 21. They allowed fewer points in their next game, a 60 – 12 victory over the Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind on December 5. The Miners are allowing only 44 points per game in the early season.

After starting with a record of 2 – 2, the Miners lost at Ray High School on December 3, 58 – 27. With the most recent wins, their record now stands at 4 – 3.

The Miners will play four of their next five games at home beginning with a tilt against Superior on December 10. They’ll next take on Santa Cruz Valley at home on December 13 before traveling to Tohono O’Odham on December 19. All games tipoff at 7 p.m.
