San Manuel Miner
San Manuel junior cross country runner Andrea Castaneda qualified for the 2014 AIA State Cross Country Championships. The state meet took place on Nov. 8, 2014, at the Cave Creek Golf Course.
Castaneda, who qualified for the state meet after her performance at the sectional meet at Marana High School, competed in her second consecutive state competition. She was the Miners top female runner throughout the season.
She finished 23rd out of 143 Division IV runners.
Castaneda, the Miners’ lone female runner, was joined at the state meet by the Miners boys’ team which also qualified for the team championships.
Congratulations to all of the Miners’ runners for a great 2014 cross country season.
