, 38, passed away on Oct. 30, 2014. He was born on Sept. 29, 1976 in Tucson. Michael is survived by his fiancé Cristi Hopper, his daughter Macey Esquivel, his parents; Betty and Larry Esquivel, his maternal grandmother; Mary Lou Hunsaker and grandfather Martin Esquivel, and his siblings; Marcos, Moses, Monica, and Laurissa Esquivel.
Michael looked like your typical man, but he was a blessing to his family. He is known as a wild and crazy outdoors man. Though, in the end, when he wasn’t out having an adventure; Michael was home spending quality time with his family. There wasn’t anything he’d rather have than being happy with his family.
His work included driving, Michael claiming that he hates to drive. Although, the 18 years of being together; Michael and Cristi explored many parts of Arizona due to Michael’s secret passion for driving. During those drives, music of Michael’s was constantly played. He had an interest in so many different types of music, there’s no way the family could not find a beloved song that Michael loved. No matter what, his family always stuck together. Michael was God’s gift to his family, but now it is his time to return.
Funeral Services were held Friday Nov. 7, 2014, 11 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Kearny, Ariz. with burial at Kearny Memorial Cemetery.
