Marjorie Liles

  Marjorie Lucille Richardson Liles was born in Kusa, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma on Dec. 1, 1922. She passed away on Jan. 17, 2016 in Chandler, Arizona while in an assisted living home.

  Marjorie married Curman Severson and had four children. Later she married Jerry Shultz for a short time, and then she married Evan Zedford Liles (deceased), by whom she felt loved, and loved in return. Her close friend at this time was her sister-in-law, Estelle Womach. During her early adult years, Marjorie became a beautician, and she carried this skill throughout most of her life, frequently doing hair at home or at her clients’ homes. She also worked for the telephone company for 25 ½ years, while taking on the responsibility of raising her family.

  Marjorie is preceded in death by her father, Charles Murry Richardson, and her mother, Lillie Agnes Torbett. She had two brothers, Cecil (deceased), married to Kay Givens, and Jack (deceased), married to Mary Stancil. Marjorie had four wonderful sons, Randy, Myron, Jim (deceased) and David.

  Included in Marjorie’s family are ten grandchildren:  Randy and Sharon had Michael; Myron Sr. and Phoebe had Myron Jr. (Myron Sr. is currently married to Sharon Sonnenberg-Severson); Jim Sr. and Lois had Debbie (married to Larry Winchester), Jimmy Jr. (married to Teresa Williams), and Amy (married to Ross Taylor); David and Nancy had Daniel (married to Lilly Garza), Aaron (married to Sherita West) and Luke (married to Biliana Iacsin). Marjorie’s family also included 24 great-grandchildren:  Jessica, Nicholas, Kenny, Joseph, Benjamin, Leah, Logan, Elijah, Alexandra, Abigail, Gabriell, Simon, Camille, Kayla, Kelsy, McKenzi, Kimberly, Eric, Jacob, Shawni, Tamra, Tyler, Hanna, and Chandler;  two great-great grandchildren, Cole and Chloe; a niece, Karen DeBernardo, and four nephews, Mark Richardson, Ronny Richardson, Dennis Richardson, and Jimmy Richardson. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

  Services were held on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ.
