Marco Salas signs with ASU

Marco Salas, Dobson High School.

  Marco Antonio Salas of Mesa AZ, will sign a Letter of Commitment to play football for the Arizona State Sun Devils on Feb. 7, 2018.

  Marco was offered a Preferred Walk On and later verbally committed to ASU in December of 2017. He has also been accepted and has enrolled into the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism program at Arizona State University where he will attend classes in the Fall of 2018 upon graduation in May.

  Marco is currently a senior at Dobson High School in Mesa. While playing football at Dobson High School, he played varsity his sophomore, junior and senior years and was team captain his senior year. His junior year, he was selected to the 2016-2017 6A East Valley Region First Team and 2016-2017 All Arizona Honorable Mention. His senior year, he was selected to the 2017-2018 6A East Valley Region First Team. He currently holds a 3.80 GPA in high school.

  Marco also received a Preferred Walk On from the Pac 12 Cal Berkeley Golden Bears. Other offers included Northern Arizona University, Eastern New Mexico University, Mesa Community College, Scottsdale Community College and Glendale Community College.

  Marco is the son of Damas (Juni) and Claudia Salas of Mesa. He is also the grandson of Damas (Jr) Salas of Mesa and the late Carmen Guzman Everett of Gulfport, Mississippi.
