At the Mammoth-San Manuel School District Board meeting held on Oct. 8, the school board approved a music/band club at the Mammoth Elementary STEM School. An agreement with Paradise Valley Unified School District Distance Learning Program was approved. The distance learning program is an after school program that allows seventh and eighth grade gifted students to chat on line with field and subject matter experts from around the world.
Superintendent John Ryan presented an Exceptional Customer Service Award to teacher Amanda Trejo. She received the award for her outstanding service to the school district. Trejo volunteered to teach math classes when the school was short a math teacher. She took on the extra work and kept the math classes going.
