Mammoth Police Report – July 27, 2016

  According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

  Items are given to the San Manuel Miner by the Mammoth Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

July 11

  Suspicious activity was reported on First St. A person was banging on windows and doors. No arrest was made.

  Loose horses were reported on roadway near Tiger Rd.

  A Gila Monster was reported on Rolfs Avenue.

July 12

  A domestic violence incident was reported in the area of Crenshaw.

July 15

  On Redington Rd. south of San Manuel, a cow was struck by a vehicle. No injuries were reported.

July 16

  A tip on a wanted person was received. Police were unable to locate.

  Suspicious activity was reported on First St. Someone was shining a flashlight in a house. The home owners were contacted.

  House vandalism was reported on Childs Street. Police have no suspects.

July 17

  A broken window on a vehicle was reported. No items were taken.   

  A wanted person was spotted in a vehicle near San Manuel Dr. The suspect fled the vehicle. Vehicle was confiscated.

  Suspicious activity was reported on Hwy. 77. An officer responded. 

  Calls not listed include: medical assist (13), vacation house watch/welfare check (3), fingerprints (2), protection order (1), citizen assist (2), animal complaint (1) and traffic stop (8).
