Even though it was cloudy and there was a little rain, a good crowd turned out to celebrate the 4th of July at the Mammoth Swimming Pool.

Parents and kids enjoyed a free day of swimming, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and sodas courtesy of the Mammoth Volunteer Fire District, San Pedro Valley Lions Club and the Town of Mammoth who sponsored, organized and volunteered their time.

In addition to the good food and fun, many raffle prizes were given away including five new bicycles. The winners of the bicycles were: Raziel Hernandez, Nicky Cruz, Ariza Castillo, Hondi Rodriguez, and Araceli Curry.

Mammoth Fire would like to thank all their sponsors for helping make this event a success. The sponsors were: Capstone Pinto Valley Mine, Walmart, Circle K, La Casita, Mi Pueblito, Las Michoacanas, the Young family, Carlos Gallego, Monica Juvera and family, Sandy Evfinger, Diane and Jack Theobald, Martin and Norma Sanchez, Dora Johnson, Ranchero Meat Market, Mammoth-Hayden Softball League, San Pedro Valley Lions Club and Town of Mammoth.
