On Saturday, Nov. 21, the Mammoth Public Library held its first Harvest Party. The party was to harvest new friends, to show thanks for the friends they already have and to enjoy a community event celebrating the coming of winter.

The party included a jumping castle, popcorn, movies, a cakewalk and a piñata. The community donated baked goods and single juice boxes for the kids.

Everyone who attended was asked to fill out an index card answering the question “What are you most Thankful for?” Some of the answers were “my family”, “the people that take care of me”, “my mom for helping me” and “the library giving us so much, thank you”.

Sharon Christiansen, the librarian, said she would like to “thank all of those that donated their time and dollars to make our event a success.” She wanted to especially thank the following for supporting the Mammoth Public Library: San Pedro Valley Lions Club, Dollar General, Carniceria Rancheros, Diane Theobald, Eric and April Garcia, Tanya Brewer, Sherry Owens, Kim Lee, Symphony Jones and Johnny Johnson.

Missed the party? Why not head over today and check out all the Mammoth Library has to offer.
