Coatings, LLC.) announces new Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) certification. Maria Mihaletos,
PVIC/AIMS President since 2011, is proud to announce PVIC/AIMS has recently received certification from WBENC as of July 2012.
In order to achieve WBE certification, a business must be 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. Applicants must meet several additional certification requirements,
complete an extensive formal documentation and undergo a rigorous, a multi-faceted business application and review process, including a site visit by one of the 14 Regional Partner Organizations.
The WBE certification is considered honorable and viewed as an important asset by women-owned and operated businesses due to the programs available and certification with purchasing agents.
PVIC/AIMS is confident that Mihaletos’ managerial and operational skills will be further enhanced by the WBE certification, assisting in the achievement of PVIC/AIMS’ long-term goals.
“As a result of having built the company to its current position with what I believe to be the right core of contracts and key staff and management in place,” says Mihaletos, “I believe we are now in a position to take the company to the next level.”

With 90 employees and counting, the businesses have expanded to Texas and California with plans for additional growth.
