Kearny, AZ – Since last summer, Jimmy Birkett has gotten to see a lot of the United States.
In June 2015, he took a job as a driver for System Transport Inc. and he sees the country from a perspective that many drivers never get – from the driver’s seat high up in his semi-truck.
“The prettiest is Oregon,” Jimmy told the Copper Basin News late last week.
His route brought him and his 48-foot tractor-trailer rig to Kearny and he was able to stop and visit his family for a couple of days. He was scheduled to pick up a load of copper in Arizona and take it to Texas.
Jimmy said he enjoys his job.
But we think his parents, Gary and Lorraine, were glad to have him home, even if it were only for a couple of days.
