The Hayden football team closed out its season at Superior last Friday and was shutout by the state’s third-ranked team, 53 – 0.
The loss was the Lobos’ seventh consecutive loss after a season-opening win at Arete Prep.
Only two seniors were on this year’s roster, leaving perhaps as many as 23 players – most of whom are freshmen and sophomores – returning next year.
