Hayden’s Devin Estrada, a 2014 graduate, was named to the AIA All-Division IV Softball Team. Estrada earned All-Section honors previously.
Estrada, a catcher on the Lobos’ 2014 Division IV State Playoff team, batted .586 with 3 doubles, 6 triples, 3 homeruns and 21 RBI. Her OPS was a remarkable 1.652.
The Lobos’ were one of the final teams to reach the 2014 playoffs bracket and pulled off one of the biggest first-round upsets in the tournament, defeating Paradise Honors 9 – 2. They gave seventh-seeded Desert Christian all they could handle before falling in a one-run game, 4 – 3.
