Hayden senior Brandon Cruz was one of three Lobos named to the AIA 1A Football All-Conference Team. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound running back was also named to the Az Football Coaches Association (AzFCA) 1A First Team.
Senior Ryan Donovan, a punter, and junior Robert Bohrn, a long snapper, were also named to the AIA 1A Football All-Conference Team.
Cruz led the Lobos in rushing this past season, running for 1,470 of the team’s 2,680 rushing yards. He scored 15 touchdowns – 12 rushing and three receiving – and even threw for a 52-yard touchdown on his only pass attempt of the season. Defensively, Cruz had a team-high four interceptions and finished fourth on the team with 55 tackles.
