The Superior Head Start along with the Town of Superior held a ribbon cutting for the Little Free Library that was installed at Besich Park. The small library has children books inside for the children of Superior to borrow and bring back free of charge. The Little Free Library is a worldwide program that was created to make more opportunities for young people to have access to books.
Funding for the purchase of the Little Free Library in Superior was provided by a grant from Arizona Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The Superior Town Council authorized the installation at the town park and with the help of public works department the library was installed and was officially opened on May, 12.
The Little Free Library is located on the east side of Besich park. Parents and children are encouraged to drop by, pick up a book and either return it or keep it and bring a new or slightly used book to share. Those wishing to make donations of children’s books may contact Hilda Cardenas at Superior Head Start 520-689-2812.
