It is time for a change at Mammoth-San Manuel School District.

Lisa Armenta excitedly accepted the keys from previous Community Schools Director Larry Ramirez.

Lisa was raised in Mammoth moved away for a while then moved back to Oracle and now lives in San Manuel. Lisa wanted to move back to the San Manuel area; she feels it is a good place to raise her children. Lisa has raised two girls, Clarissa who is 24 and Kendra who is 19; her son Jonathon is 13 years of age and still lives at home with Lisa

Lisa takes pride in her community involvement. She participates in many different organizations such as the National Hispanic Organization, Safe Kids Program, Adelante Juntos Coalition and she volunteers at many local events. Lisa enjoys helping others and staying active with different organizations.

Lisa started working for the Mammoth-San Manuel School District in 2006 as the ISS (In School Suspension) teacher and the past two and a half years as the Health Aide. Lisa also works as a Car Seat Instructor and has for the past 13 years all over the state of Arizona. She teaches the proper use of infant car seats for community members, fire fighters, nurses, Department of Public Safety (DPS) and other organizations as needed.

Lisa has attended Central Arizona College and Arizona State University for college courses. She received her Public Manager Certification in 2003. Lisa has her own business “The Snow Cone Shack” in San Manuel; she enjoys being able to serve the community.

Lisa’s transition into her new role hopefully will be a smooth one. There are many upcoming activities for MSM Community Schools starting with basketball’s first game in February. If you have any questions please feel free to check out the MSM Community Schools Facebook page at: MSM CommunitySchools or contact Lisa Armenta at 520-385-2330. Congratulations and best of luck to Lisa!
