Lewellyn James Bayba, 59, was born Jan. 12, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, and left Tucson for heaven Feb. 10, 2015.

He was the oldest son of former longtime San Manuel residents, Dr. and Mrs. Lewellyn Bayba, who now reside in Tucson. He is also survived by three brothers and three sisters, Ellen Bayba, Jonathan Bayba MD, Laurie Roley, Andrew Bayba, Rebecca Rodriguez and David Bayba; as well as numerous extended family members.

We will all miss his gentle spirit and how he loved the Lord Jesus and rarely complained in spite of his many physical and mental challenges caused by a traumatic brain injury at age 3 1/2.

A memorial service to celebrate his life was held on Saturday, March 28, at 1 p.m. in Tucson at El Camino Baptist Church, 7777 E. Speedway Blvd.
