Letter to the Editor: Kudos to the residents, business owners of Superior

I’m writing to tell you how impressed I am with the transformation I’ve witnessed in Superior, Arizona over the last few years. As a resident of Phoenix, I often take out of town visitors there as well as take day trips with my family and friends.

In the last few years I have noticed a significant improvement in Superior – downtown shops and galleries are open and interesting, restaurants and coffee houses are welcoming, and the colorful murals on the buildings give the town a wonderful and spirited atmosphere.

Just to name a few activities we’ve enjoyed…walking the Superior Home Tour, taking in the Mining Festival, purchasing freshly roasted Hatch chiles at the local grocery store, shopping at Random Boutique and hiking Picket Post Mountain trails. I am embarrassed to say I haven’t been to the world renowned Boyce Thompson Arboretum, but it is on my list for the next trip.

Bravo to the residents of Superior for improving their town, being proud of their home and sharing it with others!
