The third-ranked Superior softball team rebounded nicely from a loss earlier in the week to rival and top-ranked Ray by defeating San Tan Foothills last Friday, 14 – 0.
The Lady Panthers plated 11 runs in the first inning against the Sabercats and one run in each of the next three innings, leading them to the lopsided victory.
Marlee Estatico went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Tori Juarez had a hit and two RBI to lead Superior’s offense. Naomi Hing also had a hit with two RBI. Analysse Jaurez and Anisah Cardenas each had a hit and an RBI in the win.
Starting pitcher Alicia Arriola earned her eighth win of the season by dominating the Sabercats, allowing only a hit with eight strikeouts in four innings of work before DeAndrian Bogenschutz pitched a hitless and scoreless inning in relief.
