The San Manuel girls’ basketball team continues to adjust to the loss of several key players off last year’s state playoff qualifying team. As a result, the offensive production remains a work-in-progress as the team tries to increase its scoring output.
The Lady Miners were held under 20 points for the third-straight game in a 61 – 19 loss at Tanque Verde last Thursday. The Hawks limited San Manuel to 11 first-half points, including zero points in the first quarter.
While the Hawks deserve some of the credit, the consistent low scores indicate the Lady Miners are equally responsible for the lack of offensive production.
Upcoming schedule: Dec. 16 at Chandler Prep (7 p.m.)
