Lady Miner volleyball hosts Santa Cruz in final game

San Manuel Miner

The San Manuel High School Lady Miners varsity volleyball team hosted the Santa Cruz Valley Lady Dust Devils on Oct. 29 in the final game of the regular season with the Lady Miners taking the 3 – 0 win at home. With the win the Lady Miners finished with a 10 – 7 overall record and a 6 – 5 Section record.

In the first set the Lady Miners won 25 – 21; in the second San Manuel pulled away 25 – 14; and in the third set the ladies took the win 25 – 22 for the 3 – 0 final

Offensively for the Lady Miners, Brittany Allison had five kills and three digs; Angelica Zuniga had five kills, and three blocks; Mireya Tamayo had one kill, six digs, and two assists; Kadi Monfred had three kills, one block, and one assist; Analisa Robles had 10 kills, one ace, eight blocks, two digs, and one assist; Ana Zuniga had two digs; Lyana Waddell had one kill, one ace, and three digs; and Felicia Gomez had four kills, two aces, two blocks, seven digs, and 16 assists.
