After three weeks of conditioning drills and hitting volleyballs at each other, the Lady Lobo volleyball team will get their opportunity to spike some volleyballs at somebody other than their teammates.

The Lady Lobo volleyball team will travel to San Manuel High School on Thursday, Aug. 23, for a scrimmage against the Lady Miners. There is no set starting rotation as of yet but when the season starts it rotation will rely heavily on the five returning seniors. The scrimmage against the Lady Miners will give the coaches an opportunity to see how the younger Lady Lobo volleyball players will handle the rigors of varsity competition.

The start of the season will also be upon the team soon traveling to Kearny on Tuesday, Aug. 28, to take on the always tough Lady Bearcat team from Ray High School. The match against the Lady Bearcats is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. with the Lobo JV tangling with the Bearcat JV with the varsity contest to follow at about 6 p.m. The Lady Lobos will board the bus again on Thursday, Aug. 30, for a trip to San Carlos High School to take on the always dangerous Lady Braves volleyball team again with the JV on the court at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity contest at 6 p.m.
