Lady ‘Cats beat Apaches in season opener

The Bearcats’ Girls’ basketball team defeated the Ft. Thomas Apaches in their season opener on November 26, 2013, 59 – 53. The game was tied 51 – 51 at the end of regulation. The Bearcats’ outscored Ft. Thomas 8 – 2 in overtime to earn the victory.

The Bearcats had four players with at least 11 points. Sophomore Stormee Galka led all scorers with 21 points. Savannah Willis scored 13 points, senior Breauna Hathaway scored 12 points, and junior Sidney Chenoweth finished with 11 points.

After a game versus San Manuel on December 3, the ‘Cats will visit Scottsdale Christian Academy on December 5. They return home for a double-header on December 6. They’ll battle LaJoya Community in the first game and Pima in the second game.
