The Bearcats’ volleyball team won three consecutive matches last week when they defeated Gilbert Classical Academy, Cibecue and Superior. The Bearcats’ season record now stands at 11 – 6 – 1.
The Bearcats participated in a tournament where they played eight games over the weekend. They finished the tournament with a record of 2 – 5 – 1. They defeated Tombstone and Bisbee while their losses were against Pima, St. David, Safford, Thatcher and San Carlos. They tied Morenci.
The Bearcats return to action Oct. 3, 2013, at Hayden. Game time is 5 p.m.
